Our drivetrain is designed to be highly efficient and requires very little maintenance. Belts rarely break unless a rock/debris gets between the pulley and belt. Most customers go 1-2 years before changing the belts. If you purchase the belt guards, you receive 50% off of belts for the lifetime of the board. They prevent debris from entering the drivetrian in the first place!
